Chara Tzavara was born in Greece at 1976. She has undergraduate studies at school of Physics at University of Patras and at the Nursing School at University of Athens. She holds an MSc in Biostatistics from Medical School and Department of Mathematics in Athens and a PhD from the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics of Medical School in Athens. Since 2004 he has been working as independent biostatistician.
From 2005 to 2008 she has served as scientific associate at the department of Nutrition & Dietetics at Harokopio University in Athens and from 2005 since today is working as an associate researcher at Centre for Health Services Research, Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics at Medical School of Athens.
She has been researcher in the KIDSCREEN project “Screening for and promotion of health related quality of life in children and adolescents – A European Public Health Perspective” and the EU NET ADB project “Safer Internet Plus”. She is teaching statistics at the Center for Health Services Research of Medical School in Athens from 2004 since today. She has 51 publications in international journals and 25 announcements in international and Greek conferences, in the field of public health, health promotion, epidemiology, dietetics, child and adolescent health and clinical medicine.
